The Company
Our client has worked in partnership with the Ministry of Defence for nearly two decades, providing the support services that enable our Armed Forces to live, work and train on the UK Defence Training Estate.
Their primary responsibility is to provide the support services that enable the Armed Forces to better deploy on frontline operations and return home safely.
They have a team of around 1,300 skilled and experienced employees working across the length and breadth of the UK, in a wide variety of roles.
The role
To project manage individual or multiple M&E projects within allocated budgets and defined programmes across the contract, ensuring projects are safely delivered on time, to budget, and achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
Duties
Take the lead on complex / national fee earning projects, define and develop client brief, establishing preferred options, responsible for CDM compliance.
Oversee design and delivery of project works including project planning, liaise with statutory bodies to gain relevant approvals, identify and manage project risks, minimise through-life costs and achieve sustainability targets, prepare firm price documentation
Manage delivery and handover of supply chain contracts.
To ensure projects are safely delivered on time, to budget, and achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction
To liaise with all stakeholders to ensure effective project management delivery across the training estate.
Liaison with statutory and non-statutory bodies for compliance and support; with contractor/sub-contractors; with the Customers representatives regarding project requirements; and giving direction and advice to wider training estate users including the general public.
Could this be for you?
Project Management experience spanning at least 5 years, delivering projects valued at least £1-4M.
Project management qualification & membership of a project / construction related professional project management body or evidence of progress towards either.
Knowledge of health and safety such as COSHH, LOLER, PUWER, Legionella, Asbestos and CDM
Ideally Minimum of HND in a Mechanical or Electrical related subject.
Knowledge of the MoD Defence Contracts (Desirable)
