Training Support Officer

Randstad have an opportunity available for an experienced Training Support Officer to work within the training department of Northern Regional College's Ballymena Campus.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting students including assisting in the planning, securing and monitoring of placements, assessment and recording of student progress and pastoral care.

Hold a level 3 or above qualification plus GCSE Maths & English, min Grade C, or equivalent
A full driving licence is essential for this role and access to transport
Excellent IT skills including all MS Office Packages
Experience working with employers who offer placements would be highly advantageous
Prior experience working with students, trainees or apprentices is essential
Highly developed communication skills

Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting including an enhanced Access NI check and compliance due to the nature of this workResponsibilities

Engage with employers to secure placements
Visit students on a regular basis and complete appropriate reports and reviews to ensure that they are meeting the requirements of their course
Completing all relevant documentation relating to placements
Report on student progress
Provide mentoring support to students
Develop industrial links through the establishment of partnerships/further placements
Monitor the attendance of students in work placement and follow up where necessary providing support and addressing any issues or problems arising

Supporting all students in their learning experience to maintain regular and consistent attendance
