What you'll be doing;
 •  Monitor and control all automated Sludge treatment and incineration processes on a 24/7 basis, providing seamless coverage via implementation of effective shift changeover and communication procedures.
 •  Operate in accordance with Best Operational Practice to ensure targets are met.
 •  Monitor environmental emissions and adjust operation and dosing to maintain compliance.
 •  Effective communication with contractors, maintenance team and sludge clients on a daily basis to ensure all are aware of current status.
 •  Ensure that all plant defects are reported accurately.
 •  Respond to all incidents, escalating as appropriate. Timely reporting of events/accidents to Line Manager.
 •  Manage timely provision of all bulk consumables, spares, and other materials.
 •  Appropriate records kept on all chemical deliveries.
 •  Site Security
 •  Housekeeping in all areas to be monitored and improvements implemented where necessary.
 •  Tool work when requested.

What we're looking for;
 •  Min 2 years experience gained through working in a continuous process environment, preferably with experience of working shifts
 •  NVQ process control, electrical or mechanical qualification
 •  Knowledge of waste incineration, Pressure Systems, Boiler Operations would be advantageous
 •  IT literate
 •  Able to operate, or train to operate a variety of mobile equipment and fixed plant equipment.
 •  Able to work a continuous rotating shift pattern, including adequate overtime to cover the workload and colleagues' absences
 •  An effective team member, able to communicate well orally and in writing
