Here is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded Finance Director to make a significant impact as a key member of the Senior Management team within an expanding, multi-divisional, international manufacturing business.
About the Finance Director role
Reporting to the Managing Director the Finance Director will be responsible for the timely production of financial & management information and will work with the MD to ensure the operational & strategic objectives of the company are achieved. Key responsibilities of the Finance Director:
• Finance business partner to the Managing Director and Senior Management Team working to grow the business through an improved understanding of all revenue and cost information
• Day to day control of the accounting & payroll function and management of a multi-site, finance team
• Management of the HR & IT function and coordinating with external service providers
• Formulating strategies and plans to ensure the company achieve agreed objectives
• Contribute to weekly management meetings and the quarterly business review
• Preparation of the 12 month rolling budget and forecast for P & L and Balance Sheet
• Responsible for revenue forecasting and submitting the weekly sales & orders report
• Responsibility for the month-end close and monthly reporting pack to Group HQ
• Ultimate responsibility for working capital and cash-flow management
• Formulating the FX reporting and hedging strategy
• Building strong relations with external parties, including customers and suppliers
• Statutory reporting, corporation tax and audit liaison
• Be the champion for developing and improving the ERP system
About you
• The Finance Director will be ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified and have proven experience within a challenging SME environment
• The successful applicant will be commercially minded with strong business partnering experience and excellent financial reporting skills
• A background in manufacturing or distribution is highly advantageous.
