Learning Support Assistant Ty Bronllys - Salary: £12.94 -£13.57 per hour - Term Time Only

Nestled at the foot of the Brecon Beacons National Park with spectacular views of the mountains Ty Bronllys is a specialist school and children's home in Powys for children with complex needs associated with autism and a learning disability.
Ty Bronllys was the first Orbis service to open in 2008, and since then we have seen many children develop, grow and move on with confidence and life skills.
It takes a special type of person to dedicate their career to helping children with Autism to learn and develop. Your patience, empathy and caring nature makes you the ideal person to support our individuals at our school in Ty Bronllys. As a learning support assistant, you will provide education and organisational support to the class teacher, guide pupils during structured and non-structured sessions and assist each student to achieve their full potential.
Offer personal care to pupils, in a respectful manner when required.
A day in the life of working at Ty Bronllys includes:
• Providing high quality teaching and learning opportunities using a variety of teaching approaches and activities support pupils to make progress towards their agreed accreditations.
• Supporting teachers with the planning, preparation and assessment of learning opportunities.
• Assisting with the planning and implementation of off-site activities.
• Assisting pupils who require help during morning routines, lunch/break times or with personal care.

• Qualification in English & Maths;
• Ability to relate well to pupils and build positive and respectful relationships that are on a professional level;
• Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team;
• Must be able to show initiative;
• Ability to offer personal care in a respectful way.
Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
