Disaster Care Platinum are a trusted national provider of disaster restoration services specialising in the emergency cleaning and drying of properties after fire or flood events. As this dynamic, privately owned, fast-paced, business enters a new phase of its growth, the group is looking for an experienced Finance Director to join the Senior Leadership Team.
Disaster Care turnover is £25 million and continuing to grow.

The Role

You will be a driven and proactive individual with relevant post-qualification experience with the ability to inspire and motivate the finance teams. You will have a hands-on approach and will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills.
Previous experience of leading finance transformation projects or automating finance processes is also required.

Responsibilities
 •  Lead and oversee all financial operations and controls, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and cash flow management
 •  Proven ability to learn finance software (Access Financials) and understand the end to end data processes relating to Finance
 •  Production of consolidated monthly management accounts
 •  Production of statutory accounts for all businesses within the group
 •  Lead and implement key financial strategies and initiatives
 •  Develop and lead the Finance and Management Information (MI) Teams
 •  Building bespoke financial models
 •  Advising the business owner on accounting and tax matters
 •  Ensure strong cash management and cashflow forecasting
 •  Maintain compliance with relevant financial rules, regulations, accounting principles, and best practices
 •  Provide strategic financial guidance to the CEO and other members of the Senior Leadership Team to support (investment) decision-making and to drive business growth
 •  Maintenance of the Risk Register and identification of mitigation strategies
 •  Liaise with external parties e.g. bank, external auditors, tax advisors
 •  Review current systems and implement new robust ways of working, optimizing resource availability

Candidate Profile
 •  ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with at least 5 years post qualification experience
 •  Proven track record of success as a Finance Director or in a similar senior finance role
 •  In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices
 •  Strong technical financial accounting skills
 •  Excellent leadership and communication skills
 •  A working knowledge of Access Financials (desirable), and strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
 •  Experience in strategic planning, financial modelling, and risk management
 •  Commercial acumen

Ability to work flexibly, quickly adapting to developments and able to apply judgement
