We have an exciting opportunity for a Young Adults Recovery Coordinator who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.
With this role you’ll be working as part of the Wear Recovery team, based in Sunderland, as well as link directly with our local young people's service.

No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

Where: Sunderland
Hours: 37.5 per week
Salary: £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 dependant on experience

Responsibilities:

About the role:

 •  To deliver a range of treatment interventions to the clients utilising a young adult centric approach of working with young people. This may include both individual and group based client work.
 •  To devise, implement and review individual care plans with young people.
 •  To support individuals through the transition into adult integrated services.
 •  To actively develop relations with partner agencies ensuring robust referral protocols and care pathways are put into place for young people to receive substance misuse interventions and other appropriate support.
 •  To offer a flexible service across the local area in partnership with Health, Social Care, Criminal Justice and generic youth services
 •  Ensure that all administration, case recording, safeguarding systems are up to date and are maintained to high standards

About you:

 •  Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field
 •  Considerable knowledge and experience of working with young people and knowledge of issues facing young people today.
 •  Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
 •  Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
 •  Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice
 •  Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
 •  Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
 •  Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
