BID WRITER (FREELANCE) - BEDFORDSHIRE - IMMEDIATE START

Are you a freelance Bid Writer with experience of working in the construction sector?

On behalf of a highly successful main contractor, we are keen to speak with Freelance Bid professionals to work as an additional resource to the existing department during peak times.

Working closely with the Department Manager, you will be required to produce work-winning construction PQQs and tenders. The Freelance Bid Writer will re-write, proof-read and sub-edit content to a high standard and take responsibility for the timely production of proposal documents.
Working with internal and external teams to produce first class written submissions, this will include writing sections from scratch or improving narrative provided by others. You will have the opportunity to write techncial and marketing material on a diverse range of projects form £1million to £50million acorss the education, automotive, pharmaceutical, commercial and health sectors.

It is important that the Bid Writer is competent in using Microsoft PowerPoint, and exprience of InDesign would also be an advantage. This is the preferred software used for the production of quality and aesthetically workable documents for electronic issue,

Duties will include:

 •  Working with bid teams to identify project objectives.
 •  Collaborate with a range of personnel to develop expert responses.
 •  Producing persuasive written material.
 •  Support the Bid Team with Researching and writing technical content for proposals.
 •  Assisting with the preparation of presentations and supporting documents.

Experience and Qualifications

A good level of English (A-level or higher). However, experience and expertise of bid coordination / writing would be of equal merit.

Essential Skills
 •  Ability to coordinate with colleagues and work to deadlines.
 •  Proven IT skills, preferably with experience of producing PowerPoint documents.
 •  Excellent communication skills.
 •  Ability to manage workload and deliver multiple priorities within demanding timescales.
 •  Ability to continually improve the quality of work sent out by the company.
 •  An eye for detail and accuracy
 •  Excellent literacy and presentation skills
