Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS foundation Trust | Birmingham | findajob.dwp.gov.uk |
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Learning Disability Nutrition Nurse to join our well established, award-winning community enteral nutrition nurses team.

Do you thrive in a supportive and collaborative environment? Look no further – our team is seeking a talented Band 6 Learning Disability Nutrition Nurse to join us on our journey of care and compassion!

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and enthusiastic nurse to be a new addition to our department and continue our current service.

The Nutrition Nurse for Learning Disabilities will work with the Learning Disability Nutrition Nurse Team to support adults with learning disabilities and enteral feeding tubes in Birmingham. Your role will involve liaising with the Learning Disability multidisciplinary team as a clinical specialist nurse in order to provide effective care for enteral feeding patients.
The learning disability Nutrition Nurse Team liaises closely with acute units, enteral feeding companies, colleges, day centres, respite units, community hospitals and nursing homes in relation to home enteral feeding discharges, assessment for initiation of enteral feeding, direct patient care and staff training.

The successful post holder should therefore have experience in enteral feeding, and as this post is specifically to support patients with learning disabilities, experience of working with this client group will also be advantageous. Joining the Learning Disability Nutrition Nurse Team, you will gain expert knowledge and support patients and their care givers to help prevent enteral feeding related admissions to hospital.
