Role: Technical Improvement Engineer
Salary: £27,783

Permanent Position
I am working exclusively on behalf of my clients who operate within a range of industries and are providers to some of the largest engineering companies worldwide.
The Technical Improvement Engineer is responsible for ensuring that the business is up to date in its technical practices, working with Operations teams to make recommendations to improve efficiency, delivery on KPI’s and product quality. The role will include responsibility for the monitoring of the quality plans, partnering with Quality Assurance to ensure processes are meeting the documented technical requirements.
Responsibilities:
To provide proactive technical support to all value streams
Undertake defect investigations by route cause analysis and implement corrective /
preventative actions as required, using appropriate problem-solving tools.
Working with Production teams to identify route causes of problems and to create robust solutions.
Advise staff regarding quality issues or test fails
To work on NPI development within the technical team, including the development of Quality
Plans / Data Cards / Tooling/fixture design and Part Routings as per customer requirements.
To engage and promote continuous improvement activities to effectively support Operator
Inspector capabilities
To support internal and external quality audits
Ability to read, understand and successfully interpret work order requirements and quality requirements.
Requirements:
Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Technical and quality standards knowledge preferably within an Aerospace & Defence
Familiarisation with quality systems
