French Speaking, Logistics Coordinator

Our client, a leading global logistics specialist that operate 24/7 and display a constant commitment to providing their customers with fast, cost effective and reliable solutions are looking to recruit a French Speaking, Logistics Coordinator to based within offices near Dover, Kent.

Experience of the supply chain and logistics industry isn't necessary for this role as full training will be on offer.

Main Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Team Leader, to plan and manage time-critical logistics solutions throughout Europe and Worldwide, operating within strict time constraints and ensuring all schedules and deadlines are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:
 •  Work closely with the team leader to ensure best practice
 •  Have a good understanding of European driving regulations and bans, and the impact they may have on transport planning
 •  Escalate delays in transport and identify problems to the team leader, providing options for a resolution to allow effective communication with the client
 •  Work closely with the supplier management team to highlight any gaps in carrier coverage and maintain excellent relationships with the companies carriers
 •  Ensure carrier non-conformances are recorded and escalated as per the agreed quality process.
 •  To provide responsive service solutions
 •  Vehicle sourcing and planning
 •  Rate negotiation
 •  Shipment management through our bespoke transport management system

To Be Considered:
 •  Be fluent in French, verbally and written
 •  A keen interest in pursuing a career within the Supply Chain & Logistics industry
 •  Excellent customer service skills
 •  IT proficient
