An opportunity has become available for a Chef de Partie to join an established, successful and large educational charity in Cumbria on the edge of both the North York Moors and Lake District National Park.

Employing over two hundred staff, across various sites, and catering for students, events and holiday makers, our client operates a large catering operation where the emphasis is on efficiently providing exceptional food.

The role is permanent, full time, and live-in (within a nice, shared house) is available for only £300 per month.

Your new job:

Prepare and cook delicious, nutritional food.
Lead a small team while on shift; giving briefings as needed and gaining engagement from colleagues.
Be aware of and monitor food budget and food spend, minimizing waste and over production.
Assist with food for events and functions.
Provide the highest quality service.
Ensure highest standards of food safety are maintained.
Health and safety management.
Assist with cleaning of the kitchen and catering areas.
Administration and record updates.
And a whole lot more! There is plenty of variety in this role.

About you:

  3.  5 years chef experience in commercial kitchens including reputable hotels, banqueting or restaurants.

Experience of all sections.

An eye for quality and pride in your work.
Confident with great people skills.
A motivated and enthusiastic individual.
Supervisory experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary and benefits:

Starting salary of £26,752 per year.
