Mechanical Systems Engineer – Fuel Systems Derbyshire, UK
Programme: Hydrogen combustion engine design and development
• Engineer: £3545k + bonus + benefits
• Senior Engineer: £5060k + bonus + benefits
Several roles exist for proven mechanical design engineers to join an established engine manufacturing company in Derbyshire, UK.
Overview: Mechanical Systems Engineer – Fuel Systems

Excellent understanding of Fuel systems (fuel delivery, handling, etc) would be needed.
Required experience / knowledge: Mechanical Systems Engineer – Fuel Systems
• A degree or higher qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (e.g. mechanical design, automotive engineering, motorsport, agricultural engineering, etc)
• Minimum of 3 years of fuel systems design experience gained post academia (gasoline / diesel / H2)
• Experience of the design of fuel systems for engines for applications such as automotive, motorsport, agriculture, rail / rolling stock, marine, power generation, etc.
• Experience of systems level design and processes (technical specifications, breaking down requirements, validation activities, DFMEA, DVP&R, 8D problem solving, etc)
Others (beneficial): Mechanical Systems Engineer – Fuel Systems
• Experience in one or more of the following engine design disciplines could also be useful - Valvetrain design (DOHC / SOHC, etc), Gears (timing drive design), CCV (Crank case ventilation), Aftertreatment (e.g., DEF etc), Air handling (e.g., intake manifold, throttle, etc), Major castings, etc.
Note, the Mechanical Systems Engineer – Fuel Systems roles are office based in Derbyshire.
Relocation and work visa assistance can be provided. The roles are commutable from Rocester, Stoke on Trent, Derby, Nottingham, Birmingham, Uttoxeter, Stafford, and Burton
