GPS have a wonderful opportunity based mainly in Leeds for a HR Advisor to work within a diverse production/manufacturing business. The position reports to our HR Business Partner – Operations and is stand-alone at our Leeds site, however, you will work closely with the wider HR team at other sites.
Your Responsibilities
• Providing first line generalist HR advice and support to employees on terms and conditions of employment and HR policies and procedures
• Offering advice and guidance on employee relations - performance, discipline, grievance, including policy/procedure and legislation, attending formal investigations and hearings
• Managing absence and attendance data, acting as the first-stage support for managers and liaising with occupational health
• Managing family-friendly policies and procedures i.e. flexible working requests, maternity, paternity, adoption leave
• Managing the leavers process i.e. exit interviews, liaising with payroll and sending out relevant correspondence
• Undertaking recruitment, selection and onboarding activities, including interviews
The ideal candidate will have:
• Previous HR experience at a HR Advisor level with CIPD qualification or equivalent
• Highly organised, accurate and methodical with the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing/production environment
• Ability to work freely but also as part of a team with excellent communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders, persuade, trial and influence effectively and be a trusted advisor
Salary circa 30-38K (Neg on experience)
