Job Title: Children Support Worker
Base Salary: £22.00 to £22.500
Location: Northampton
Social Care & Education is seeking experienced Children's Support Workers who are bubbly, patient, and caring to join our team. You'll work independently or alongside other staff members to support young adults with complex care needs and high support requirements in their everyday lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality support to young adults, focusing on their physical, psychological, emotional, and recreational development.
• Establish positive and trusting relationships with the young people to make them feel safe.
• Assist young adults in preparing for independent living and support them in daily life.
• Aid with personal care when necessary.
• Accompany young adults in the community and support them with everyday tasks.
• Assist with financial matters such as bill payments.
• Help with cooking and cleaning as needed.
• Support young adults transitioning out of care.
• Be proactive and address any safeguarding concerns.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures.
Requirements:
• Experience working with young adults aged 12 to 17 years old, including those with challenging behaviour and mental health needs.
• Experience in planning and coordinating activities.
• A good level of English and Maths.
• NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Health & Safety Training.
• Safeguarding Children Certificate.
