WORKING HOURS: 40 HOURS PER WEEK
SALARY: £36,875 per annum

ABM is seeking a proactive and dedicated Services Manager to oversee our security, cleaning, and pest control services at the Dolphin Poole. This role is not just about management; it’s about inspiring a team and making an impact in the heart of Poole.

OVERVIEW OF JOB DESCRIPTION

Management and delivery of security, cleaning and pest control contract to the required standard of both ABM and the client.

As the Soft Services Manager you will be required to ensure all areas of responsibility are cleaned and secured to a high standard. You will also collaborate with various stakeholders to understand the challenges and deliver effective solutions.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
 •  Line management of security and cleaning teams
 •  Manage budget and track expenditure to meet P&L forecasts
 •  Control rosters to ensure correct manning levels to meet SLA’s
 •  Oversee timesheet input to maintain accurate payroll information
 •  Manage recruitment, development and training of staff
 •  Attend monthly review meetings using PowerPoint presentation
 •  Conduct regular cleaning audits to ensure a clean environment
 •  To support ESG initiatives and Place Based Social Impact initiatives.
 •  To conduct investigations and disciplinaries when required
 •  Proactive approach, suggesting new initiatives and best practice
 •  Ensure compliance to the Data Protection Act
 •  Review and conduct risk assessments
 •  Flexible to meet operational needs such as out of hours welfare visits and Saturday duty manager
 •  Manage the correct use of chemicals adhering to COSHH regulations
 •  Ensure monthly Toolbox Talks are conducted by Team Leaders and recorded
 •  Record sickness and conduct Return to Work interviews
 •  Complete absent management process
 •  Ensure all staff are familiar with and adhere to ABM’s and the clients H&S policies

PERSON SPECIFICATION - ESSENTIAL
 •  Ability to communicate and engage effectively with clients & staff
 •  Strong leadership skills
 •  Ability to prioritise tasks
 •  Excellent report writing skills
 •  IOSH Managing Safely
 •  SIA licence SG
 •  Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
 •  Excellent computer skills (Excel & PowerPoint)
 •  Experience of conducting investigations & disciplinaries

DESIRABLE
 •  CCTV licence
 •  Degree in relevant field
 •  First Aid qualification
 •  Member of professional body
 •  BICS qualification
