Early Years Nursery Practitioner

Full Time: 37.5 hours per week over 4 days - Permanent position

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, passionate and committed Early Years Nursery Practitioner / Assistant to join our Team. Successful applicants will need to hold a full and relevant (Level 2 or above) Early Years Childcare qualification or equivalent and will need to be adaptable and flexible due to the nature of the business.

You must be hardworking, motivated, love the outdoors and be passionate about working within an early years environment. You will be working as part of a team so it is essential that you have good communication skills.

You will be expected to plan and deliver high quality play and learning opportunities through a wide range of activities. You will carry out key person responsibilities and communicate effectively with parents through daily and written feedback and have sound working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework with a desire to support and promote individual children, enabling them to achieve their full potential.

This vacancy is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly team in a well-established rural setting of Springfield Nursery, Marwood, Barnstaple, Devon, EX31 4DU.

Successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS and be asked for references. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Tasks

The team are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to support with the day to day safety, care and education of children aged 0-5 years within our Nursery. You will be responsible for providing high quality education through observations and planned activities.
You will liaise with parents and sharing information where required.

Requirements

As an Early Years Practitioner you will need to have a full and relevant Early Years Childcare qualification, the ability to work with a team, have good written and oral skills and the ability to relate, build and maintain good working relationships with parents/carers and professionals.
