Solution 47 Recruitment has a fulltime permanent position of Product Specialist for our very successful Engineering client

Our client prides themselves on commitment to product training and support, and a customer focused approach is pivotal to this role. You will be required to offer technical support, both electrical and mechanical, to customers worldwide via phone, email, and Skype.

Requirements

Ideally qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent, you will require a sound knowledge of electromechanical machinery, industrial automation, and control systems (PLC, inverter drives and relays). You should be able to confidently assist customers in using a multi-meter to diagnose electrical faults and clearly demonstrate a systematic approach to fault finding.
You will also be expected to support customers in the market leading Sectors within our clients field.

Strong PC skills are essential, you will be expected to work with existing data and document management tools to be able to systematically log calls and outcomes. You should also have an extensive working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite as you will be expected to review, maintain, and update product manuals, datasheets, and bills of material.

Evidence of project management experience and change management processes would also be advantageous.

Summary of main responsibilities
 •  Provide customer support on technical issues for global customers from first contact to resolution.
 •  Fault diagnosis for electrical and mechanical issues.
 •  Occasional site work may be necessary, full current driving licence required.
 •  Maintain and deliver service bulletins and support manuals.
 •  Strong problem-solving skills – carry out root cause analysis.
 •  Strong written and verbal communication skills.
 •  Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise and oversee multiple projects.
 •  Provide technical training support both internally and externally.
 •  Supporting & mentoring the Field Service Technician
 •  Creating and producing training media and programs for distributors and end users
