We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Nurse to play a pivotal role in maintaining the highest clinical standards at a thriving veterinary hospital in the heart of Huntingdon. As Lead Nurse, you will be instrumental in ensuring optimal patient care and efficient nursing operations, contributing to the overall growth and success of our client.

Lead Education Veterinary Nurse is an integral part of the team, responsible for managing patients from a nursing perspective to drive the hospital's profitability and expansion. Collaborating closely with your team, you will foster a positive and productive work environment, all while delivering exceptional care to your patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities include overseeing the nursing team and the delivery of patient care across your area, to uphold impeccable work protocols in all nursing duties, emphasising hygiene and infection control and to facilitate clear and effective communication within your area of responsibility, among fellow lead nurses, and with the Clinical Nursing Manager.

You will ensure prompt and efficient handling of patients under your team's care, pre-empting and averting delays whenever possible. You will also conduct Nurse appraisals as necessary, cooperating with the Clinical Nursing Manager, and actively participating in professional development opportunities.

Their extensive resources at the hospital include Digital X-ray, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, ECG, In-house laboratory, a dedicated dental suite, separate cat and dog wards, isolation units, and more.

You will join a highly skilled and friendly team of Veterinary professionals, including two Clinical Directors, six managers, and three lead vets. The practice is located in the charming market town of Huntingdon, known for its blend of new homes and historic properties.
With convenient connections to London taking approximately an hour, Huntingdon offers an attractive living environment.
