Main Purpose
The person responsible for assisting in the management of his/her defined contracts, whilst assisting where required elsewhere in the portfolio. He /She shall be the first point of contact on all Commercial Related undertakings from their defined contracts, and shall communicate any issues through the team.
Requires full understanding of the contractual conditions in which their responsible contracts operate. Assist Commercial Manager and BUL with Quote and VE related works.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support the Commercial Manager in all commercial related tasks within their defined area of delivery.
• Commercial lead for all RFQ’s and Tendering/Estimating of packages, to provide best value and ensured delivery of projects.
• Responsible for compiling and reviewing all Invoicing related information, and projections. Ensuring these are complete and updated regularly to show the projected contract term costs/Revenue.
• Assures availability of essential project commercial information.
• To provide financial and commercial support to the Commercial Manager and to the wider business.
• To work within the BU to achieve financial targets
• To develop, implement, review and monitor systems and measures to accurately account for the financial performance of contracts.
• To liaise with personnel within the commercial department and within other areas of the Company to assist in achieving the Company’s aims and targets.
• To extend the use of processes and procedures to achieve consistent performance across all of the Company’s commercial activities, and in accordance with the company’s management system.
• To positively influence and drive sustained improvement to individual contract profitability
• Reporting on the financial performance of individual contracts, including the provision of periodic and ad hoc reports to the other staff, as may be required from time to time.
• Preparing Applications with backups to Clients for approval.
• Raising Quotes to Clients for chargeable works.
• Raising paperwork to get Purchase orders from Head Office.
• Maximo (CAFM) Knowledge
• Spreadsheet Expert (V-look ups and Macro)
• Visiting sites when required to support Managers
• Assist in business development for the BU
Essential Attributes
Excellent numeracy and commercial skills.
Analytical & Judgmental Skills
Sound knowledge of financial performance reporting
Ability to work either on their own, or as part of a wider team.
Ability to remain calm and composed in instances of high pressure whilst continuing to make appropriate decisions
