Salary: Starting salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
Location: This role will be based at our HQ, Kilwaughter, Co. Antrim
Purpose: This is a key role aimed at attracting an individual who has developed expertise for procurement, sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier contracts. With a commitment to Customer Experience, you will work as part of a busy Supply Chain team in ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement and delivery of goods and services across the Organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Onboarding of approved suppliers
• Processing and investigation of invoice queries
• Creation and maintenance of New Product Item Cards
• Management of tender process for goods and services
• Negotiation of Supply Agreements and Purchase costs
• Ensure timely delivery and quality standards for goods and services
• Generate purchase orders to meet manufacturing requirements with use of MRP
• Create and Manage Purchase Orders for Maintenance and Site Services across all sites
• Creating, Updating, and reporting on Supplier Delivery Performance, On-Time In-Full and Purchase Price Variance KPIs
• Auditing of suppliers in line with Business needs to ensure they meet the required standards
• Support remote sites on direct and indirect purchasing requirements and transfer management
• Identify, source, and negotiate terms and conditions for supply of non-production related materials
• Liaise with the Planning Team so that any issues are resolved with no impact to Customer Experience
• Maintain the Approved Supplier List and Appraisal System, creating new suppliers, and maintain records
• Compile data to report on material prices, stock levels, and ad hoc reports to support effective purchasing
• Maintain and coordinate the MRP function on the company’s ERP system, NAV
• Daily review of MRP requirements and manage directly with suppliers in line with production requirements
• Communication with suppliers for delivery dates, orders and returns, and expediating orders where there is a requirement.
• Sourcing and evaluation of Alternative suppliers for Site Services, Maintenance, and services in line with business requirements
• Act as an ambassador for our company values, behaviours and adhere to all company procedures
Criteria Essential Desirable:
Education · A minimum of GCSE or equivalent at grade C or above in English and Maths
Experience
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience gained in a manufacturing environment, or similar role
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management
• Establishing and managing tendering processes
• Evidence of negotiating successful Supply Agreements
• Transactional purchasing within a commercial environment
• Ability to read, interpret and apply information from various sources
• CIPS Qualification or working towards it.
