 •  Well facilitated hospital offering many services including orthopaedics, dentistry, gum disease treatment, dermatology, endoscopy, ultrasound, and x-rays
 •  Award winning hospital
 •  Fantastic benefits package including a relocation allowance and bonus scheme

We have a wonderful opportunity, in the charming market town of Darlington, for a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join an esteemed team. The hospital holds accreditation from the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and is renowned for maintaining exceptionally high standards across all three of their practices.
With convenient transport links to nearby cities such as Durham and Newcastle, Darlington offers an ideal location for commuting professionals.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all team members provide quality and ethical care to the hospital's valued clients and their beloved pets. They will be expected to assess, examine, and diagnose medical issues in patients, utilising their expertise to provide accurate and timely diagnoses.
Surgical procedures, wound dressing, and treatment will be performed by the Veterinary Surgeon, who will also conduct diagnostic laboratory, imaging, and ultrasound testing as required. Prescribing appropriate medications to address patients' health conditions will be part of their daily responsibilities.

Our client takes great pride in maintaining a professional and nurturing environment for their staff and patients. The hospital offers a wide range of services, such as soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, dentistry, gum disease treatment, dermatology, endoscopy, ultrasound, and x-rays.
In addition to the main hospital, there is a separate Cats and Exotics Clinic nearby, providing a dedicated stress-free environment for the treatment of cats and exotic species. The hospital's third clinic, recently renovated, offers outpatient surgical procedures and consultations.
The hospital has achieved gold status from the ISFM Cat Clinic, reflecting their commitment to feline-friendly practices.

The successful candidate needs to have excellent communication skills which are necessary to educate clients effectively and build lasting relationships. Experience in small animal and exotic species practice is highly desirable, along with strong surgical skills to perform a range of procedures.
