Foodservice Key Account Manager

Cavendish Maine are privileged to be working exclusively with this leading international producer of potato products into the foodservice industry.
About the Role:
Ideally based in Northern Ireland with easy access to southern Ireland (although any reasonable Irish location would be considered), you will report into and work closely with the Country Manager developing new business as well as managing a vast array of existing accounts.
You will develop strong relationships with Chefs, Food & Beverage Managers, Owners, and C-suite level contacts within channel specific key chained accounts (fast food and local QSR chains), understanding their business and offering effective solutions.
You will be given the opportunity to build a credible and long - term career with a market leader at a very exciting time for this business. Whether you are currently working within Foodservice as a KAM or are an experienced Regional Sales Rep looking to take the next step in your career, your background will be considered.
Specific duties will include;
• Accountability for profit and loss for your specific business portfolio
• Working closely with product management, Marketing and NPD teams delivering compelling customer specific propositions on product development
• Creating efficient working relationships with key contacts within each account
• Developing strong relationships with all key accounts and prospects
• Cross-selling and up-selling to existing accounts
Key Skills/Experience Required:
In order to be considered for the role of Key Foodservice Key Account Manager, you must possess the following;
• Experience of working for a foodservice/catering/soft drink/ consumables company or food manufacturer
• Knowledge and experience of working within the fast food/QSR channel
• A track record of success gained within the Irish Foodservice market
• A passion for food
• Experience of working closely with internal and external teams (e.g. marketing NPD, production etc)
• A creative mindset in order to drive new product ideas and customer acquisitions
• Strong and persuasive negotiation skills
• Happy to successfully develop and generate new business
• Ambitious and professional
• A persistent, consistent and disciplined approach
• A passion for food and experience if working with or as a Chef would be an advantage
• Based in Northern Ireland or in easy commutable distance to Northern Ireland and willing to travel around Ireland as a whole
Salary/Benefits Information:
In return for your role as Foodservice Key Account Manager, you will receive a basic salary of up to €50k/£45k p.a (DOE) + car, bonus, 24 days holiday, pension etc.
