We undertake the role of Main/Principal Contractor within the Water, Industrial, MOD, and Power Sectors. This includes all aspects of New Build, Refurbishment, Civil Engineering and MEICA Projects.
We believe our biggest asset is our personnel. With extensive experience within these areas of construction between the Directors, we aim to be pivotal in galvanising the design teams, subcontractors, and supply chain to ensure each project is carried out safely, within programme, to budget and of the highest quality.
We pride ourselves on our integrity, competency, transparency and openness with clients and supply chain. We prefer permanent staff however we are will to consider a contractor position
This role provides electrical services on site installation, inspect and testing electrical equipment, making sure it is working properly and safely.
• May include installing Instrumentation, electronic valves, pumps, motors etc
• Commissioning of instrumentation and plant
• Inspecting electrical systems, wiring and equipment to ensure they are safe and functioning properly
• Fixing electrical faults or replacing parts
• Glanding and Termination
• Containment Installation
• Connecting sockets, switches, light fittings and appliances
• Laying cables to connect equipment to power and networks
• Maintaining electrical motors, transformers and machinery
• Making and installing electrical control panels
• Following technical plans
• Complete reports, check sheets and documentation relevant to tasks
• Learning about new electrical legislation
• Responding to emergency call-outs until plant handover
• Working on a construction site, often in cramped conditions or at height.
• To undertake assigned activities under the direction of the Supervisor or Team Leader
• Be enthusiastic & committed to the team’s purpose and share responsibility for performance
• Ensure all work is completed to the appropriate levels of safety, quality & cost
• Producing the deliverables/products to agreed specifications
• To take care of any safety equipment / tools provided and ensure they are used correctly
• Work as part of a team & contribute towards successful communication & positive behaviours
Qualifications
• An accepted City & Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent professional electrical qualification in Electrical Engineering
• ECS / JIB Card
• BS 7671 – 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations
• 2391-52 Inspection & Testing
• Confined Space trained (Training can be provided)
