We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our clients award-winning data centre design consultancy in London on a permanent basis. **Job Responsibilities:**
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design electrical systems for data centre projects
• Develop electrical design concepts, calculations, and specifications
• Perform load calculations, power distribution design, and equipment selection
• Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and diagrams using AutoCAD or other design software
• Conduct site visits to assess existing electrical infrastructure and gather necessary information for design
• Participate in design reviews and present design solutions to clients and project stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations
• Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure successful project implementation
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams during construction and commissioning phases
• Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical design for data centres
**Requirements:**
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the data centre industry
• Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or ETAP
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, power distribution, and equipment selection
• Knowledge of industry standards and codes, including IEC, ANSI, and BS
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines
