The Client:
We are working with a leading, global manufacturing business in Wolverhampton who are looking for an engaging and fresh-thinking Engineering Manager to take the lead in managing and developing the site based engineers and the Maintenance engineering activity within the facility.
As a budget holder for the Maintenance Engineering team, this role will offer you the opportunity to not only lead the day-to-day activities, but also get involved in the conception and execution of a variety of exciting site projects. This is an exhilarating time for the facility as they are actively receiving investment to update machinery and processes, including the introduction of automation and robotics to maximise production efficiency.
As the Engineering Manager you will be getting involved in:
• Coaching, mentoring and engaging a team of Maintenance Engineers.
• Develop and drive the preventative maintenance strategy, processes and actions throughout the plant.
• Ensure effective reactive maintenance practices to minimise downtime.
• Manage the distribution and allocation of the departmental budget.
• Drive and lead projects relating to capital equipment.
• Work closely with the site leadership in driving the wider organisational goals through the people in the team
To be successful in this role you will need:
• Previous experience within a high-volume / fast-paced manufacturing facility leading a team of Maintenance Engineers.
• A management style centred around coaching, mentoring and engaging your team
• Previous experience as either an Engineering Manager / Maintenance Manager or experience in a Maintenance Team Leader / maintenance supervisor position with the hunger to progress into a management position
