Looking for a varied role in the property/building industry with long term job security?
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work within a large, vibrant development in Aberystwyth offering progression and career development for the right individual.
This well-known and market leading property investment company, are tasked with managing this large facility, maintaining high-quality, sustainable accommodation that enhances a living and learning experience, whilst also offering full-service residential property management.
The Role
As the Facilities Manager, you will be based on site and will work closely with the Operations Manager and support team including engineers and helpdesk operators to ensure a safe and well maintained environment for all users.
The main aspect of the position is to manage the FM hard services element of the contract including M & E, Planned and Reactive Maintenance, Grounds and Pest Control.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing day to day activity and allocation of works
Prepare and authorise Risk Assessments and Method Statements for maintenance works
Ensure high levels of H & S, implementing best practice and monitoring performance
Manage the digital and paper based permit-to-work system.
Manage CAFM and BMS Systems, ensuring all systems and documentation are up to date and compliant
Act an as Authorised Person for Low Voltage systems (training provided)
Energy Management and system updating
Managing Audits and systems
The Person
This position requires a proactive approach and an individual who is comfortable in a client facing role.
Experience & Skills required:
Previous experience within a similar role in Facilities/Estate/Building Management
Experience of managing a Planned Maintenance (PPM ) programmes
Fully IT Literate
Excellent communicator and can build relationships with clients
H & S qualifications are desirable
The company is contracted to manage this site for another 25+ years so alongside long term security and great variety of workload, you will receive a competitive salary, generous benefits package and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Due to the nature of the job and contract, this position has an “on call” rota of 1 week in 4, therefore, applicants will need to live within in a commutable distance and will be required to undertake a DBS check which is arranged by the company.
