Your new company
Join a leading company specialising in bulk handling equipment for the quarry and mining industry. With a global presence and a commitment to innovation, our client is at the forefront of their field. As an R&D Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping their future.
Your new role
As the R&D Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering our R&D strategy. Your keen understanding of competitors' products will help identify gaps in the market. You'll develop precise Product Design Specifications and ensure regular reviews to surpass targets.
Cost feasibility analysis, risk assessment, and benchmarking against competitors will be second nature to you. Your design expertise will shine as you verify and release new designs, including 3D CAD models, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
People management is a key aspect of this role. You'll mentor junior team members, set team goals, and ensure they're met. Prototype testing, both on-site and in the factory, will be part of your routine to ensure successful project completion.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in securing the R&D Manager's role, you should be coming with previous experience with 3D and 2D CAD, preferably using Pro-Engineer or Creo, proficiency in designing hydraulic and electrical systems and experience in Finite Element Analysis.
We are looking for applicants with strong project management skills, a global perspective, understanding the development and manufacturing infrastructure internationally. Ideally, you will have sound financial and budgetary planning abilities.

In return, the new R&D Manager will be rewarded with a competitive salary of £40,000 - £55,000 and a bonus scheme up to 16% of salary. You will get an excellent rewards and benefits package and the opportunity to shape the future of our industry-leading products.
