THE ROLE
Reporting to the Production Manager and as part of the Assembly team, you will be responsible for mechanical assembly for all products in the company catalogue ranging from general light fittings to control & distribution panels supplied to various customers in the defence industry.
Your duties will include but not be limited to the following.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY / EXPERIENCE
• General Mechanical Assembly
• Read and interpret Electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Install and connect wiring, cables, and electrical components.
• Use of hand tools to assemble electrical components.
• Test assembled products for functionality and quality assurance.
• Soldering of mechanical/electrical components including LED boards
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Previous experience in mechanical assembly or a related field
• Strong knowledge of hand tools in electrical assembly
• Ability to solder.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams.
• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity
Benefits

Hours of Work:
Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 16:00
Friday – 07:30 – 12:30
Holidays
25 Days holiday; a combination of floating days and compulsory factory shutdown over Christmas period.
All bank holidays
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 37 per week
