Estates Secretary with Accounts. Part time

Job Title: Estate Secretary

Location: Due to location, it is advisable the postholder has their own transport. Free parking is available. This role is 30 minutes from Coleraine, 20 Minutes from Ballymoney, 25 minutes from Ballymena and 30 minutes from Cushendall.
Duration: Permanent. Part time. The employer will need 18-20 hours per week but is flexible on days worked (normal office hours). In addition, there can be an additional 1 day per week if the successful applicant wishes.

Salary: The hourly rate is negotiable.
Hours: Between 9am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday.

On behalf of our client, an exceptional events venue, we are seeking an individual with experience in Accounts to cover a part time, permanent role in their organisation.
Reporting to the Director, this is an integral role and the post holder will provide varied support in Accounts, Administration and Secretarial.

Duties include:
 •  Invoicing including sales invoicing for wedding venue and conacre and also purchase invoicing
 •  Cash reconciliation and prepare float for weddings
 •  Setting up supplier BACs payments
 •  Processing VISA receipts and petty cash
 •  Processing weekly payroll online and submitting details to HMRC
 •  Bank reconciliation monthly
 •  Preparing month end and PAYE and pension payments and reports while submitting to HMRC
 •  Submitting VAT returns quarterly
 •  Preparing information for account fro year end accounts
 •  Year-end procedures and issuing P60’s and P45’s
 •  Preparation and submitting renewals of licences to local council including entertainment and marriage licenses
 •  Updating and scheduling ongoing maintenance and servicing of vehicles and machinery
 •  Answering telephone calls and enquiries
 •  General office administration and record keeping

Training on the software package will be given however you will need:
 •  Previous recent book keeping experience is essential.
 •  A working knowledge of Sage or another Accounting package.
 •  Knowledge of PAYE and VAT.
 •  Excellent organisational skills.
 •  Strong communication skills and the ability to high level of service to customers
