Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Senior Building Technology Engineer to join our Thrive team!
In this role you will help us provide advice and support on all aspects of Building Technology design with a focus on Building Automation and Controls (BACS). You will be part of the engineering team within IBT and assist the Building Services design engineers and BACS Commissioning & Panel Building technicians to develop Cognitive and Intelligent buildings solutions and the associated software, detailed design, construction and as build drawings and/or sketches.
As part of your engagement, you will support the development our BACS offering.

As a Senior Building Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for:
 •  Undertake a review of existing design and develop proposals to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the building services systems and BACS.
 •  Follow and assist in the development of the BACS system architecture and complete the detail design including drawings, schematics, control panel schedules O&M Manuals and documentation for the successful delivery of projects.
 •  Review design documents, drawings and specifications, BACS sequences and equipment submittals and ensure their fitness for purpose.
 •  When BACS are delivered by REDS10 suppliers ensure programming, set up, installation, testing, and commission of systems is completed to the required standards and protocols.
 •  Ensure installation, testing, and commission of building services systems is completed to the required standards and protocols and that all documentation are in place.
 •  Co-ordinate installers, sub-contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects meet client requirement for the monitoring, alerting and control of buildings, are completed on time, on budget and in accordance with relevant standards.
 •  Participate in meetings with REDS10 design and project management teams to align construction, architectural, building services, BACS and sustainability targets
Qualifications and Experience
 •  BSc in Building Services / Building Technology (Automation).
 •  KNX (ETS software) with over 5years working experience in Commercial, Residential and Educational projects.
 •  Demonstrable experience in a fast-paced Building Technology role within a growing business.
 •  Experience of supporting managers in both office and factory / site environments.
 •  Previous working experience with engineering design software AutoCAD (Essential) REVIT, Bluebeam, ACC.

 •  Excellent organisational and time management skills.
 •  Proven ability to look for innovative and creative solutions.
 •  Good knowledge of Building Technology systems, with prior knowledge of British, BSRIA, CIBSE Standards.
 •  Ability to work independently and to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
 •  A straightforward approach, able to express information clearly and concisely.
 •  Excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to research and an aptitude for helping other people.
 •  Proactive, kind, fun, great eye for detail.
