RECfinancial are recruiting exclusively for a East Leicestershire Accountancy Practice, in the search for an Accounts Assistant on a Full Time Permanent basis. Working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.

Main role of Accounts Assistant
Reporting into the Practice Director, the successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out financial duties to support the business. Our client is looking for a confident individual with previous experience with preparing accounts, collection of overdue payments, purchase ledger, reconciliations and various other tasks.
Key Responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant
Preparing management accounts
Reviewing and submitting VAT returns on Xero software
Prepare payroll on BrightPay and file reports to the pension regulator
Digital filing and scan documents to virtual bookkeepers
Preparing accounts and tax returns using Iris software
Additional duties as may reasonably be required
Main Requirements of an Accounts Assistant
Minimum of 12 months in practice
Ideally studying AAT/ACCA
GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
Good working knowledge of Xero software, BrightPay and Iris is ideal but not essential
Confident individual with excellent communication skills
Excellent work ethic and able to work unsupervised
Understands and upholds confidentiality and data protection
