Bank Care And Support Worker

Derbyshire | Permanent | £13 - £15/year | www.cv-library.co.uk |
At Kedleston Group, our vision is simple, every provision we operate will be recognised as ‘outstanding’ in every way.

We will never be the biggest, but we will lead, and others will follow.

Bank Care Worker – Zero Hour Contract.

Salary range: £13.43 per hour (Unqualified Rate), £14.84 per hour (Qualified Rate).

About the role:

As a Care Worker at High Peak House, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children and young people at the heart of everything we do. You will support the children to progress and develop onto the next stages of their lives, through the daily care that you provide.

You will provide tailored, child centred care to support the children to develop independence skills, achieve academically, develop their own identity, support their health and well-being, support them to achieve in other areas of their lives, support and promote family links, and provide exciting and enjoyable experiences and opportunities for the children.

About you:

Ideally, for this role, we are looking for a qualified Care Worker (Level 3 in Residential Childcare) who has experience of working within a SEMH (social, emotional and mental health difficulties) setting, and has a passion for supporting children to develop and thrive, but more importantly, someone who wants to make a difference to the lives of our children and young people.
We would love to hear from you if you share our passion and commitment to developing confident and happy children, and improving the lives of children, by providing nurture and care to them.

Why work for us?
 •  A competitive salary.
 •  A comprehensive induction programme so you can hit the ground running.
 •  Continued professional development and training.
 •  A friendly, passionate team committed to getting the best outcomes for our children.
 •  Opportunity to work in an OFSTED rated Outstanding home.

Benefits include:

 •  £500 refer-a-friend bonus.
 •  OFSTED bonuses.
 •  Perks at Work Membership.
 •  Birthday treats.
 •  Long service and employee of the month awards.
 •  Employee Assistance and Counselling Service, wellbeing support and advice.

High Peak House, part of Kedleston Group, is a children’s home which houses two small 3 bed homes, within the wider grounds of High Peak School, a specialist SEMH provision. Both of our homes provide a homely, cosy environment for our children, and are set within expansive grounds which provides lots of opportunities for our children to experience the great outdoors and play.
Children and young people from diverse backgrounds come to our home and additionally attend our partnered school, High Peak School, for varying reasons, but often as a result of social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Our home provides a safe, nurturing environment in which our children can grow, develop, and achieve.

Kedleston Group Limited is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its children and young people and we expect all staff to share this commitment. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. You will be expected to engage in annual safeguarding training, be familiar with key policies and ensure you know the steps to take should you be made aware of a safeguarding or child protection concern.
You will remain vigilant and act swiftly if you have concerns about a child and be an appropriate role model for both children and colleagues at all times.

The successful candidate is required to provide references and will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS check. We will ask you to complete a criminal self-declaration form, and we will conduct online searches for information that is publicly available.
We are an equal opportunities employer welcoming applications from all sections of the community. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975, 2013 and 2020.
