Our client is a leading provider of premium tiling services, specializing in delivering high-quality solutions for residential and commercial projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful completion of construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates, monitoring project costs, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Main Duties:
• Working closely with the other estimators and Directors
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including electronic taking off quantities
• Measuring and carrying out take-offs from drawings/ specifications, apply rates, calculate, and complete pricing schedules.
• Proposing suitable specifications and alternative specifications/value engineering
• Issuing quotations and liaising with our clients
• Visiting site as required, for pre-tender queries/interviews and/or post tender meetings.
• To support the Estimating team in carrying out their duties
• To liaise with suppliers for quotations, technical details, samples
• To support the wider Team and carry out general administration associated with tender/quotation preparation and submission.
• Liaising with clients and other departments
• General Administration for the Estimating Department as and when required.
• Creation and return of all quotations within the specified time.
• Creating order files and job sheets
• Monitor quotations by calling clients to receive feedback and status updates.
• Keeping product library up to date with current prices and discounts
• Responding to client queries via phone or email
• Obtaining orders for confirmed works
• Maintaining and building on the current relationships with existing clients but also establishing new work streams through approved new clients
Criteria:
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Proven experience in industrial project QS roles
• Strong knowledge of cost management
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in relevant software/tools
• Experience working within interiors, flooring or tiling is a bonus
• Experience using digital measuring systems, database management systems and all Microsoft programs
