ABOUT THE EVOLVE SOCIAL WORK SERVICE

The Evolve Child Exploitation service works with young people and their families from across the borough of Rotherham with the primary function of reducing risk around Child Exploitation. This includes working with children and young people who are Looked After and are placed both in and out of the Rotherham area.

Alongside the direct work with children, young people and their families, we work closely with our multi agency partners and communities and provide training and learning opportunities for others to help in a consistent and robust response to exploitation throughout Rotherham.
We are based with the Evolve Police and support young people as victims within the investigation and Court process.

The team focus is:

Trauma-informed one to one support for vulnerable young people who have been groomed by groups for sexual or criminal exploitation

Supporting young people throughout investigations
Complex abuse queries and mapping intelligence to disrupt and reduce risk.
Developing phased care plans aimed at building life skills, teaching young people to recognise risk and manage their own safety within the community.
Group work
Safety planning

Be part of our cutting-edge work to safeguard young people in the community at risk of CE, gang involvement and drug related risks within the community. These roles would suit candidates with high levels of emotional resilience and self-awareness to deal with challenging behaviors given the nature of risks managed within a closely monitored and supervised environment.

The successful applicants will be responsible for providing child friendly interventions, which include different approaches for young people depending on their cognitive and developmental stages. The Family Support Workers will also use assessment and planning skills to develop and create educational packages for multi-agency staff, such as primary schools and Early Help services and support the early intervention of exploitation.
