Group Management Accountant (Maternity Cover)

Based: High Wycombe with hybrid working available
Salary: c.£60000 pa
Term: Full Time, Fixed Term Maternity Cover

We're looking for a Management Accountant to join our Group Finance team on a fixed term contract. You will be working in the Group team managing the Group reporting database, responsible for monthly consolidations and ad hoc analysis.

We anticipate this position to commence in June 2024 for a duration of around 15 months. Our offices are based in High Wycombe and we offer a hybrid pattern of 2-3 days per week in the office.

Duties:

Management and development of Group reporting system
 •  Manage the Group Reporting system, Board.com, ensuring it supports timely and robust reporting deadlines
 •  Actively identify and implement process improvements across the Group month end process to improve/automate financial processes

Monthly Group management accounts preparation
 •  Responsible for the monthly Group management accounts including all Group Consolidation journals and intercompany reconciliations and eliminations under IFRS
 •  Manage the month end process, including timetable, communication across the group and adherence to Group procedures
 •  Manage the intercompany process including calculation of group PURP adjustments, intercompany balance reconciliations and intercompany loan interest
 •  Support the import of monthly data from Group entities in UK, Germany, US and APAC with inbuilt reconciliation controls
 •  Support the Group Accountant with preparation and review of the PLC monthly reporting

Management of Group quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting process
 •  Responsible for uploading the budget and quarterly forecasts into Board.com with inbuilt data checks to ensure accuracy and integrity of data input and group consolidated output

Support for Half yearly and Annual statutory reporting process
 •  Key member of the Group Finance team at Half Year and Year End including liaising with auditors and preparation of working papers as required
 •  Preparation of ad hoc data reconciliations as needed

Ad hoc analytics
 •  As part of the small Group Finance team you may be asked to undertake ad hoc analysis to understand some of the performance trends utilising your analytical skills
 •  Assist in the development of the Group management accounts to provide additional insight to the PLC and Executive Board

About You:

 •  Proven experience as a Management Accountant, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
 •  Qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent with at least 5 years PQE
 •  Experience of maintaining and managing Finance systems, including General ledger systems and control procedures.
 •  Advanced Excel skill, with excellent attention to detail
 •  Experience of Netsuite ERP, or Power BI desirable
 •  Experience with reporting consolidation systems, Board.com preferable
 •  Experience of international group consolidations
 •  Experience of streamlining accounting processes, with strong attention to detail
 •  A self-starter who is constantly looking to improve
