About the Quality Assurance and Technical Assistant job

The purpose of your role will be to oversee processes and quality of production from start to finish whilst supporting the teams and always complying with legislative guidelines.

Key tasks
 •  Conduct internal audits inclusive of allergen, glass & plastic, and progress checks with HACCP & company procedures in mind and produce accurate and supportive documentation. Put in place corrective actions where necessary.
 •  Carry out daily, weekly, and monthly checks of fridge/freezers, finished product weight checks, waste log etc and provide accurate supportive documents.
 •  Calibrate weight, temp probes and other supportive equipment and submit findings to external sources and be responsible for regular orders of chemicals and cleaning schedules.
 •  Investigate reported non conformances and provide solutions to minimise future issues being raised.
 •  Provide support to the full team when necessary, including the goods in team and staff shortages.

About You

The successful candidate shall have the experience and knowledge to address issues effectively and in compliance with legislative and company policies & procedures. You shall be able to demonstrate compliance with all aspects of product safety and legality.

 •  A food science degree or experience and experience in a similar role.
 •  Level 3 HACCP & good BRC knowledge is essential.
 •  Ability to effectively communicate at all levels verbally and written.
 •  Good working knowledge of Microsoft office suite.
 •  Provide ability to problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

The Quality Assurance and Technical Assistant job is based in South West London and is paying £30,000 - £33,000 according to your experience.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 16:00pm.
