Polytec are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Quality Engineer to provide support with product and process quality within the product life cycle for our client based just north of Cambridge.
Responsibilities:
• VOC reviews for product / project requirements, continually evaluating and improving requirements capture process
• Analyse existing product performance data making improvements into new projects for scoping
• Project gate reviews throughout the product lifecycle, identifying areas that represent a risk to quality, cost or supply
• FMEA, Control Plan and DFx reviews ensuring risks are properly identified and have appropriate mitigation action in place
• Identify and establish quality requirements
• Produce Project Quality Plans to ensure Quality requirements are defined and communicated to the relevant stakeholders
• Lead and support audits in accordance with audit programmes and project requirements
• Lead and support RCA and CAPA activities on identified issues and nonconformities
Requirements:
• HND in an engineering subject (electronics / mechanical / software) as a minimum
• Certification in a recognised Quality Standard
• Good knowledge of working within quality management frameworks
• Familiar with the principles of the latest ISO 9001 standard
• Strong technical background, able to carry out both proactive quality assurance activities and support control activities to ensure Quality within new product introduction
• Experienced working in a technical environment and driving TQM within Engineering
• Good auditor credentials, able to confidently conduct both internal and supplier audits
• Good knowledge and understanding of SMT production lines
