Position: Secondary School Inclusion Room Support
Location: Bournemouth

The Role: The School are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Inclusion Room Educator to join their team. In this role, you will work closely with students who require additional support, providing guidance, encouragement, and assistance to help them achieve their full potential.
You will collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement personalised learning plans, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Responsibilities:

 •  Provide one-on-one and small group support to students in the inclusion room.
 •  Assist students with academic tasks, including homework, assignments, and projects.
 •  Implement behaviour management strategies to support students in developing positive behaviours and social skills.
 •  Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans for students with special educational needs.
 •  Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
 •  Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress and discuss any concerns or developments.
 •  Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.

Requirements:

 •  Previous experience working with students in an educational setting, particularly those with special educational needs.
 •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
 •  Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students' academic and personal development.
 •  Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
 •  Relevant qualifications in education or a related field are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
