A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 9 year old boy living in the Barry area with my family. I have a diagnosis of Autism and I am non-verbal. I am extremely active and enjoy doing fun activities. I require constant monitoring and supervision.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
I am looking for a PA to provide my family with some respite. The job will entail supervising me at home or taking me out into the community.
HOURS OF WORK
I have 3 hours per week available which will be worked on Saturdays. In the school holidays the day worked can be flexible.
RATES OF PAY
£12.80 per hour plus 40p per mile where applicable.
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
• Supervising me at home and ensuring my safety while my parents are out.
• Taking me out into the community to undertake fun activities.
• Making me something to eat when in the house.
• Potentially some personal care if required.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
• An active person who is willing to keep up with me.
• A reliable and punctual person.
• A patient and understanding person.
• Someone who is very responsible.
• Experience working with children with Autism or other learning difficulties.
ABOUT THE JOB
This will be a proper job requiring a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period of six months will be necessary in the first instance. The wage will be paid four-weekly on return of a payslip provided by the Centre for Independent Living.
You will receive appropriate holidays and holiday pay. This post is subject to an enhanced police check (DBS) and training may be required if identified by the employer.
