Role & Responsibilities:
• To undertake development and testing activities on a range of low and medium voltage accessories.
• Run the laboratory test programmes including low and high voltage electrical testing to British and International standards
• Carry out and mechanical testing in line with the requirements of British and International standards.
• Build test samples and test rigs in line with the designs of the R&D team
• As part of the Design and development process collate and report results of ongoing test programmes to the electrical products engineer and other R&D teams.
• Provides support for product familiarization both at a customer's site and in the Components laboratory.
• Provides training and supervision on laboratory test equipment to the team.
• Manages the maintenance and calibration programmes of the laboratory test equipment.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
• An electrical engineer qualified to HNC or equivalent.
• Experience in a test or installation environment would be beneficial but not essential
• Knowledge of electrical systems
• Knowledge of data logging would be advantageous
• A working knowledge of Microsoft office is essential
