A kind and caring person wanted who has great caring ability, enthusiasm to help, willingness to learn and initiative to work and help care for a severely disabled individual who is completely blind severely physically disabled and a partially recovered partial paraplegic and severely immune suppressed.The job involves aspects of personal care, Including bowel care.
It also entails occasional support with taking the person to hospital appointments. The role involves cooking, cleaning and providing support to go out into the community. It will also be necessary to provide support around medication. The person is able to administer their own medication, but requires help with checking dates and dosage, ordering medication and support to dispense tablets .
While not required it would be preferred if the person has their own transport. Computer skills are also desirable but not essential. it is also a requirement to wear a mask and be good with dogs, especially large dogs.
It is important that the person is flexible and willing to work as part of a team. The main hours required are 5pm-7pm most afternoons/ early evening and to be able to cover a morning shift 08.00 - 14.00 when required.
