My client is seeking an experienced Buyer to join their team based in Kidderminster.

Mon - Fri 8:00am -5:00pmDuties and Responsibilities:

Seek out high quality products to meet customer needs.
Communicates well with other members of the team and keeps them up to date with any cost changes.
Efficient in meeting the demand of price enquiries from the sales team.
Identify and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers.
Looks for ways the company can save money and cut expenses.
Monitors stock levels
Keeps up to date with market changes and negotiates with supplies to ensure the company gets the best deal.

Input purchase orders onto systems using SAGE 200
Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives.

Researching organisations and individuals to find new opportunities.Skills and Experience Required:

Someone who has at least 2 years' experience in purchasing.
Experience within the food ingredients industry is essential.
Good interpersonal skills - able to build and manage relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
IT skills when using outlook, SAGE.
Able to fully understand customer needs and demands (e.g. price, quality, availability)
Strong time management skills
