Our company is currently recruiting an experienced Electrical Project Manager to be working onsite in Billingham, UK for a leading engineering services contractor currently involved in complex technical projects in life sciences, pharmaceutical and data centre schemes across Europe.
The organisation’s division includes Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection and also offer other exceptional services in Off Site Fabrication, Waste to Energy (BioEnergy), Technical Support Services, Asset Management, Specialist Lift, Maintenance, BIM (Building Information Modelling) and Geo-Surveying.

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of electrical projects including planning, budgeting, scheduling and execution. You will collaborate closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within the budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities will include:

 •  Assessment of documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications, design, and relevant industry standards.
 •  Support in preparing the pre-commissioning and commissioning execution plans including the schedule and the mobilisation of personnel and equipment.
 •  Ensure compliance of pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures with the Specialist Vendor and suppliers.
 •  Review of test procedures and of the operating manuals with the Specialist Vendor teams.
 •  Help prepare the project progress reports and maintain project documentation.
 •  Attend client & contractor meetings as required.
 •  Commercially and contractually competent.
 •  Effective communication and teamwork with engineering, procurement, and commercial teams are crucial for aligning technical requirements with project objectives and ensuring smooth project execution.
 •  Leadership and coordination are paramount in overseeing multi-discipline teams. Your role will involve fostering collaboration, resolving conflicts, and ensuring that the collective expertise of the team is harnessed efficiently towards project goals.
 •  Demonstrated experience working with multidisciplinary teams.
 •  Develop project execution plans including definition of scope, schedule, communication tools, software tools and deliverable distribution lists.
 •  Properly identify and assess project risks and escalate as appropriate.
 •  Develop and maintain positive client relationships for all projects.
 •  Building and nurturing positive client relationships and ensuring alignment with project objectives is essential for client satisfaction and project success.
 •  Ability to collaborate effectively with external partners, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and project requirements, is vital for seamless project execution.

Key Skills and Requirements:

 •  Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field.
 •  Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
 •  Knowledge of BS7671 Electrical Regulations is essential.
 •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
 •  SMSTS is essential and CSCS Manager (Black) card is desirable.
 •  Proven ability to manage an existing core cross-functional team / develop the team.
 •  Candidate should be a high-energy professional with excellent communication, organisation, and analytical skills.
