Data Scientist/ML Engineer

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Data Scientist with Machine Learning skills to join a dynamic, engaging, and multidisciplinary team working in R&D.

The role will involve delivering science in line with business milestones and deliverables on an innovative research project being carried out between on product development and external collaborators projects.

The focus of the role will be to source and curate research data and check for trends/patterns with high level of detail and quality to the data. You will also be involved in the design, implementation, and validation of novel machine learning involving chemical structure and toxicology.

The job holder will be expected to disseminate progress and results both internally and also in external project meetings, as well as at conferences/trade shows or other events.

Key Responsibilities
 •  Ensure data integrity, including maintaining data storage systems, developing, and establishing data processing pipelines, and performing regular data cleaning, curation and validation tasks.
 •  Design inline with CTO, develop, and validate machine learning algorithms
 •  Clearly and scientifically present insightful results through presentations, reports, and technical papers.
 •  To keep abreast of scientific findings within the field of machine learning, with emphasis on applications and product development.

Working Relationships

The job holder will report to the CTO, and indirectly to CEO and COO. The job holder is expected to develop productive and professional working relationships with external collaborators and stakeholders.

Qualifications
 •  Essential criteria:
 •  Holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or a related field.
 •  Ideally a least one year of experience designing, developing, and validating machine learning and computer vision algorithms and applications.
 •  Has a track record of being self-motivated and driving development work.
 •  Has demonstrable experience with Python, machine and deep learning libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Pytorch)
 •  Has experience in version control systems (e.g. Git)
 •  Has a driving license that permits them to drive within the UK
