The Opportunity:
Are you ready to embark further in your career journey in the world of hospitality? An exceptional opportunity awaits you at this classic and stunning hotel on the Hampshire/Surrey borders. As the Senior Accounts Assistant, you'll be a pivotal force in the finance team, working closely with the Finance Manager and Hotel GM, collaborating seamlessly with key departments and senior members when required.
Tasks
Key Responsibilities:
• As a very strong No.2 in finance, you will report to the Finance Manager, working very closely with other key departments and Group Senior Members as required.
• Ensuring all tasks are accurately completed with the support of the Accounts Team and Finance Manager.
• Assisting the Finance Manager in maintaining the hotel's profitability within budget/forecast parameters by overseeing stock, payroll, consumables, and procurement activities.
• Supporting in the administration of payroll, overseeing both main and casual
• payrolls. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, ensuring compliance with company policy in managing the system, and obtaining authorisation from departmental managers to work to weekly/monthly deadlines.
• Providing daily support to the Finance Manager to ensure timely completion of group tasks, group management information required by directors - which includes: cash flow, prelims, month-end tasks, and reports.
• In the absence of the Finance Manager, assume responsibility for completing essential daily tasks as required as a No.2.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
Hospitality experience is highly desirable (but not essential). UK Accounting exposure and work experience is essential. Supervisory experience would be highly advantageous as well as studying towards a recognised accounting qualification. All-round accounting skills, which must include elements of payroll are required, with ambition and drive to learn more.
