Halifax – Full time temporary with a view of becoming permanent.
We are currently working with an independent SEMH/Pupil referral unit based in the Halifax area who are looking for Higher Level 4 Teaching Assistant with experience working with children that present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
Some children may also have other special educational needs such as Autism, ADHD and communication difficulties. This is a varied role and will require individuals passionate about want to make a real difference in children’s lives. The role is to deliver Art & B-Tech E sports.
Job Spec & Description:
Delivering across curricular primary model content to Key stage 2- Key stage 3 learners
Working one to one or delivering group sessions with small groups of learners.
Manage classroom resources.
Have their lunch with learners that struggle socially.
Take Children on educational trips and visits.
Follow the school’s policy on positive regard and behaviour polices when needed.
Keep children safe when they are in crisis or heightened behaviours with strong behaviour management skills and excellent communication skills.
Qualified to level 4 Higher level Teaching Assistant
Create Art & B-tech E sports development lessons.
Celebrate success.
Participate in therapeutic training sessions or reflecting on difficult periods.
Committed and passionate about teaching learners with differentiated needs.
