Technical Waste Assessor

£28-35K dependant on experience
Our client provides a diverse range of services which includes hazardous & non-hazardous disposal, treatment solutions and restoration. An opportunity currently exists for a Technical Waste Assessor to join their team based in the central belt of Scotland but also covering services provided in the Northeast of England.
This role will involve ensuring that all incoming and outgoing waste samples are correctly classified, whilst certifying that a trail of records is maintained.
Main duties:
• Following procedures to technical assess waste enquiries including pre-acceptance, acceptance, sampling and compatibility processes.
• Correctly recording and logging data required for the transport and acceptance of waste samples.
• Keeping up to date with site processing capabilities to enable the safe and correct routing of waste samples.
• Ensure compliance of all waste management licenses and permits, including site visits and customer audits where required.
• Liaise with internal teams including, sales and operational functions.
• Efficiency in dealing with SEPA and EA enquiries.
• Maintaining and updating the management systems on-site including document control, preparing data, and reviewing, when necessary, requirements.
Candidate requirements:
• A degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry.
• Proven industrial experience or knowledge of the Hazardous Waste Sector.
• Strong wet chemistry analytical skills.
• Organised, with a keen eye for detail.
