Technical Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer (Data Centres) (109dm) – London- Canary Wharf - £55000-£70000DOE

Our Client, a veteran-owned Professional Services company, is looking for a Technical Project Manager / Senior Project Engineer, for large data centre installation project's taking place in London and across Europe.

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS RECRUITMENT CONSULTANCY, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO REPRESENT INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE EX MILITARY.

You will need to have a deep technical understanding of physical I.T/communications infrastructure, including compliance, and be able to take ownership for complex projects from day one.

Duties:

 •  Attending meetings with the end client to provide in-depth technical project reports, showcasing the progression, and how any challenges are being addressed and overcame
 •  Managing Project Plan and Resource Allocation, including multiple subcontractors
 •  Managing Compliance and the auditing process
 •  Full budgetary management
 •  Having a full overview of site management, cable installation and safety

There will be an element of travel required to some of the data centres around Europe to check in with the on site PM's.

This would not be frequent and probably around 20 days per year.

What is our Client looking for:

 •  Proven experience of delivering against the above, which includes transferable military experience.
 •  The ability to work with senior stakeholders, including board-level
 •  A deep understanding of physical I.T infrastructure installation in large, complex environments and the ability to talk with technical and non-technical team members/stakeholders
 •  A strong understanding of compliance, auditing and managing technical project documentation

You will need to be a certified Project Manager, whether that is via Prince2 or APM, with the ability to take on responsibility for a big cabling/telecoms installation project for a highly modern Data Centre.

In return, you will join a small veteran-owned and staffed business, where they recruit either veterans or service leavers, and make you feel like you are a part of something.

Their culture is reflective of what happens within a start-up filled with veterans – we want high-performing individuals that can add to their team and allow them to win more projects and employ more veterans.
