Location: Christchurch
Pay: £12.82 an hour
Start date: Immediate start possible, as well as September starts considered

Are you passionate about helping children with special educational needs access learning and thrive within school? Do you want to make a real positive difference in their lives? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are working in partnership with schools across Christchurch to find dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEN or behavioural needs. The schools are mainstream primary schools, however they have high percentages of SEN pupils in need of additional support and provision.
The ideal candidate will therefore have a genuine care for providing high-quality support, and the ability to tailor their approaches to meet the needs of the individual pupils. Since every child is unique, we need Teaching Assistants who are willing to develop their practice, be patient with pupils, and be proactive in being a consistent adult who can adapt to a variety of needs.

Some of the experiences we are looking for in the ideal candidate include:

Experience working with children, in particular, children with special educational needs
Knowledge of and experience with behaviour management strategies, as well and the ability to adapt to situations
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and a calm manner in challenging situations
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with parents and other professionals
A patient and nurturing approach to working with children

In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of £12.82 per hour. The working hours are from 8:30-15:30 and the role will be term-time only, enabling you to enjoy the school holidays.

If you are ready to make a positive impact and you believe that you have the characteristics or experiences required to be successful in this role, then we would love to hear from you!

Please submit your CV today and we will be in touch with you. Once we have read your CV we will be in touch with you to discuss this opportunity further. You may receive a phone call or an email in response, so please do keep an eye out, as we would love to chat with you!
